My Latest Trash Can Find – Noah’s Ark
I could not help myself with this one. I just had to load it up!
I was donating some of my time to a local guild yesterday that specializes in doing woodwork for charity. It is an amazing organization that does things like build wheel chair ramps for people who are in need. This great group of people needed volunteers to move their facility into a new location. I am a member, so I naturally volunteered to help out. It was a long day of demolition and cleanup to get the building ready for use. Amongst the huge pile of stuff being thrown away was this handmade rendition of Noah’s Ark. Nobody claimed it by the end of the day, so I threw into the back of the truck.
Our cat, Paris, really likes it!
I think it is just crude enough and weathered enough to be pretty cute. I imagine it in a beach house, to store rolled up beach towels. Or how about in a boy’s room to store his shoes? It needs a little work to get in shape, but nothing major. I would be interested in hearing other ideas, as well. Let me know. Rory

rory, that is sooo cool! i love it as is. it would look amazing in a nursery or playroom. great trash find! also love your new header with the buffet- it fits nicely.
Thanks Cassie, It was just one of those fun things that was too good to end up in a landfill. Nice to see you again. Appreciate the comment. Rory
This is another wonderful find. Very unique! I love the idea of using it to store rolled towels at a beach house. TFS.
what a beautiful find!.. left as is or whatever you do with it.... cant wait to see!
good on you for helping out! giving back is great fun isnt it? I help out a few army wives and a single mum by cooking cheap meals for them and only charging what it costs me... having owned a cafe it helps, and is great to lighten someones load...
have a beautiful week

Hi Vic, Yeah, it seems like whenever you give, something good happens to you in return. Thanks for stopping by. Rory
I love that Noahs ark..it could certainly store unique sea shells by the seashore on trips that you take. or just sort of a beachy type theme..I love your ideas..it would even be a great doll house for little dolls..like say they are going on a cruise or something..I love the color of it..:)my nephews would love this..:)
Ahoy kitty! How cute!

I love it just the way it is... and your ideas are perfect...great conversational piece...hope you had a great weekend~
I think I'd have to load it up with Christmas angels and Santas and hang tinsel along the sides for the holidays... Terrific find!

This is great! How adorable it would be in a little boys room.
I love this piece... I would put it out side by my pond and have plants hanging out of it... but that would probably ruin it... it is way too cute to destroy... I love your bathroom idea the most... that would sure finish off a boring bathroom... great find... lucky you.
Hugs, Deb
Those are some great ideas. I think it will look fantastic however it is used. What a cool piece! Thanks for sharing at 'Look at me, I'm SO Crafty!' at Fun to Craft.
