I don't order much online as far as craft supplies go - I like to see things in person, looking for quality, directions, and other such things - and I hate to pay shipping charges that are sometimes outrageous.
I wasn't planning on buying many of my beading supplies online when we moved to Dubuque as there was a well-stocked bead shop in town. Not long after we moved, the shop closed and went to an "online only" presence. I didn't like the look or selection of the online shop and haven't bought from her since she closed her "brick-n-mortar" store. I do order from large, reputable companies, like Fire Mountain, and plan to make more of my purchases online in the future. While I think my present online purchase percentage is around 30-40% - that figure will be increasing.
